David and I had a perfect wedding day and a wonderful honeymoon out west in canyon country. Although every bit of it was even better than we had imagined, it's also quite satisfying to be back in Maine now starting our "happily ever after."
I just finished organizing the nearly 1,000 photos that we took on our trip, and I have come to the following conclusion: You can take the man out of his wood shop, but you can't take the wood shop out of the man. (Nor would I want to even if I could :) Over 100 of our pictures consisted of woody close ups. The trees out west have so many interesting twists, turns, and burls. It was nearly killing him to not be able to bring it all home for Tote Road. I was starting to fear that I would open up my suitcase upon arrival back in Maine to find downed cedars and scrub oak instead of deodorant and soap!
Just as a side note, we will not be participating in the Bangor Sidewalk Arts Show this weekend. Our next show will most likely be on Saturday August 20.
